It’s the season to be jolly! To celebrate Jesus, to spend precious time with family, to give to the needy, to rest and party with friends.
For a lot of people Christmas time brings mixed emotions. It can be the happiest or most depressing time of year depending on what you focus on.
Every year when this season approaches I once again ponder the traditions of the season. Many of the things we do have become so ingrained in us that we do not stop to think why we do them anymore. Many will agree with the statement that “Christmas have become very commercialized.” What that means is that the shops and television make the verdicts on what Christmas is and what it should be, what we should have in our homes and what we should do at this time (Just think tree, lights, big Christmas gifts etc) and most people just tend to “go with it”. I want to challenge you this year not to just go “with it”
STOP. And think. Why do you do what you do?
